About Higgins and Sons Tea
Terribly British teas of fine class and standard
An elite tea distributor ; an unmatched finesse in the tea industry
Mr. Higgins was an eccentric English man of fine standing and great taste. His philanthropic nature and taste for tea and adventure took him to all corners of the British Empire, laying a robust foundation for the establishment of the Higgins and Sons tea brand. Refusing to travel first class as he thought it pompous, more often than not he made his way across the country on bicycles and balloons and was not averse to travel like the locals; using ox, elephant and in one extraordinary case – a camel. His love for tea was as rich as his travel endeavours; sipping only the finest teas from around the world, rich in antioxidants, flavour and aroma. Like all English gentlemen, Mr. Higgins enjoyed nothing more than a fine cup of tea to mark his arrival in a foreign land. Of course, his taste was unaccustomed to the local teas on offer, but he soon grew partial to the rich variety of spiced and herbal teas found outside of mother England. It wasn’t long before his inventive and entrepreneurial mind hit upon an idea.
After a negotiation with the local dignitaries and chiefs he managed to secure himself batches of their finest teas which he promptly shipped back to Blighty. Thus was the humble beginnings of the Higgins and Sons tea. As a respected member of the British establishment, Mr. Higgins set up his very own tea emporium, serving selected fine flavors of tea from around the world to members of the aristocracy and the upper-class English gentry. The finest flavoured teas from around the World, vetted by Mr. Higgins’ expertise included black teas such as Ceylon Tea and English Breakfast Tea.
Along with Cardamom Tea, Earl Grey Tea and English Breakfast Teas of flavoured black tea varieties and the refreshing assortment of Green Tea, Jasmine Green tea and a healing infusion of Moroccan Mint Teas.
His tea business blossomed and although his Higgins and Sons teas were often copied, they were never bettered.
